Safety Solutions: Keeping automated guided vehicles and systems safely on the move

Heading towards the future

In many industries, automated guided vehicles and vehicle systems are making production and logistics processes more flexible. When these vehicles have to be controlled with greater efficiency and precision SICK has exactly the right sensor solutions – however complex they might be. They also meet every requirement when it comes to providing protection in line with standards, protect people against accidents, and help prevent collisions – which in turn keep goods and equipment protected.   Continue reading

Reliable object detection

PowerProx: The new home of sensing range

The new standard for reliable detection with an extended sensing range cannot be measured with a conventional yardstick. After all, with sensing ranges from 5 cm to 3.8 m, no object goes undetected by the PowerProx MultiTask photoelectric sensor. To achieve this, not only has SICK packed all the advantages of time-of-flight technology into the world’s smallest housing, we have also increased detection speed. PowerProx set standards, including when it comes to choice and commissioning – not only do they offer the best solution, they always provide the right solution. The four versions “Distance”, “Speed”, “Precision”, and “Small” are designed for different detection tasks. Continue reading

S3000 Anti Collision with a sensing range up to 15 Meter at Jungheinrich

Now made possible: More vehicles in narrow aisles

Narrow isle

In mobile applications, the S3000 Anti Collision safety laser scanner offers by far the largest sensing range for a field where safety is key: 15 meters. Working closely with Jungheinrich, SICK has developed a solution to provide efficient protection for narrow aisle trucks. Thanks to this new solution, two or more industrial trucks can now be used in one narrow aisle for the first time ever. It forms the ideal basis for improving throughput and flexibility while still ensuring maximum safety. Continue reading

Clicked quickly: G6 photoelectric sensor with innovative connectivity

GlobalSensor_G6_Klick_tease Video abspielen

Compact design, faultless sensor performance, and clever connectivity – with these properties, the G6 miniature photoelectric sensor is the convincing choice for intralogistic modules and systems. In conjunction with Interroll, one of the world’s leading specialists in intralogistics, SICK has developed a quick-clip system, which allows the G6 to be mounted in seconds without any tools.
